The Kodak Gallery production floor in Rochester, NY, with master printers at the bench.

About

A working studio in Rochester, hand-printing since 2009.

Founded on the legacy corridor of the original Eastman Kodak color science campus — fifteen years of archival print craft for the photographers and brands who care how a photograph is made.

Manifesto

A working studio, not a marketplace.

Every piece that leaves 120 Platform Way is hand-printed on fiber-based papers through our 12-color pigment process — calibrated each morning against a Wilhelm Imaging Research reference, and certified for 100+ years of color stability. No order is routed through an automated third-party lab; each print is signed, numbered where applicable, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity before it is matted, framed, or crated.

We make this commitment because the photographers, art directors, and brand teams who come to us have spent years — sometimes decades — building an image. They deserve a studio that treats the last forty inches of that work with the same seriousness.

Chronology

From 2009 to the 2023 Lucie Award — fifteen years of archival print craft.

  1. 2009

    Founded in Rochester, NY.

The studio opens on Platform Way, on the legacy corridor of the original Eastman Kodak color science campus, with three printers and a single Epson 11880.

  2. 2018

First featured vendor at Paris Photo.

The studio is invited to join the fair's curated print vendors, followed by standing features at AIPAD and Photo London through 2024.

  3. 2021

    Carbon-neutral production.

All papers transition to FSC-certified stock; shipping materials move to 100% recycled, plastic-free crating. The studio is independently audited carbon-neutral on production.

  4. 2023

Lucie Award — Outstanding Print Service of the Year.

The studio is recognized by the Lucie Foundation for sustained contribution to photographic printmaking, the same year our 12-color process passes Wilhelm Imaging Research's 100-year stability certification.

Press

"In a market crowded with drop-shipped labs, Kodak Gallery remains the studio that still prints every order by hand — and the difference is visible the moment a fiber-based sheet comes off the bench."

British Journal of Photography Editorial feature, 2024
